One thing I did specifically want to comment on is the "permissions" you need to give Flickr to be able to post to your Facebook account. I realize that those permissions sound scary but they are necessary. They don't mean that Flickr is going to randomly do things to your Facebook account but when you click the "send to facebook" button in flickr, if they don't have those permissions, then it just won't work. Basically, you're giving flickr permission to post on your behalf.
That being said, if you're not comfortable with it, just don't do it. It's totally your call.
